Adhesive Joint Cooling Fluid

01/16/2025

In edge banding machines operating with PUR adhesives, an antistatic cooling fluid is used. Masterio produces the OK25 fluid, which is highly effective with polyurethane adhesives.

In furniture board production, two types of hot melt adhesives are used: EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) and PUR (polyurethane). The first is cheaper and can be reactivated with heat. PUR, on the other hand, chemically hardens and is resistant to high temperatures and moisture. Therefore, polyurethane adhesives are used for boards intended for kitchens or bathrooms.

The PUR adhesive joint must be cooled quickly. Masterio has developed the OK25 antistatic cooling fluid. Our blue fluid is applied in the edge banding machine after the adhesive section, onto the top, bottom edge, and side of the board. The adhesive joint is cooled to room temperature.

Masterio OK25 speeds up the curing and cooling process of the adhesive, evaporates quickly, and leaves no marks on the board, while also discharging electrostatic charges caused by the operation of the edge banding machine.

Masterio OK25 is available in 5- and 30-liter canisters, 200-liter drums, and 1000-liter IBC containers. Interested? Contact our sales department. We will deliver the fluids directly to your specified location.
