Glue furnace regeneration

Masterio specializes in glue furnace regeneration. We can also cover the body of a glue furnace with Teflon. Regeneration extends the life span of a furnace by at least a couple of years.

Glue pot, glue furnace, glue tub, glue feeder, glue cauldron, glue station — those are only a few names of a very important part of an edgebander in the gluing section. It is a container in which the glue is heated and distributed on the edge of a furniture board by means of a vertical, serriform roller mounted on the bottom of the furnace.

Apart from the roller, the furnace has inbuilt heaters creating the temperature up to 200 degrees Celsius. The glue in the furnace has to remain liquid. The device is automatic, so there is a thermostat and glue level sensor.

Due to harsh working conditions glue furnaces have to be replaced every few years, but regeneration is a cheaper and more convenient option for the client. Masterio provides the regeneration service.

Standard furnace regeneration involves replacing the bearings and seals and cleaning the body. It is sometimes necessary to replace other worn or damaged elements — glue level sensors or heaters. We replace other elements like covers, copiers, roller mountings, cords with plugs or even the roller.

The customer has to send us the disassembled furnace for regeneration. At Masterio we plug it in and check, which components have to be replaced. Then we send the client the quotation and upon acceptance we carry out the regeneration.

Masterio offers also covering the furnace body with Teflon. It is an additional service, but the layer of Teflon significantly prolongs the life of the furnace by a couple of years. We can put a Teflon cover on the furnace body, but also on the furnace cover, side cover, pressure rollers, tubs for melting the glue and other machine elements. If the client does not have a spare furnace, and the edgebander has to work constantly, we can provide the client with a replacement furnace with an additional fee.
